For two weeks, we explored the icy noman’s land and pitched our tents on the Sagabreen, an anabranch of the Fridtjovbreen, the largest glacier in the central Nordenskiöld Lands.
Built in 1951, the Opal originally served as a trawler in the Baltic, North and Barents Seas. And now she served us as the base for exploring the Hornsund in the south of Svalbard.
